Hello! My name is David Smith. I was born in Ohio near Cleveland and moved to Utah in 2013 to attend Weber State University. I discovered that I had a passion for working with the body and deeply enjoyed the puzzle solving involved in assessment and programming. I became a personal trainer at Weber and loved every minute of it. I realized that I wanted to work with people in a more hands on fashion as that would allow me to assess and treat people in a more holistic way. I studied massage therapy at Myotherapy in Salt Lake City, obtained a professional massage license and began my first practice in Ogden in 2015.
I was craving some adventure, so I joined the Conservation Corps and worked in Moab and Hanksville doing mapping projects around the desert for 6 months. Next, I joined the Forest Service and began fighting forest fires from 2018-2023. I worked in Washington state and then got a job with the Boise Hotshot crew in Garden Valley. I had a great balance of adventure and relaxation, working all over the country during the summer fighting wildfires and then living in Hawaii in the winters doing massage therapy.
I began my full time practice in Boise late in 2023 and have been providing massage and mobility training since then. In my spare time, I enjoy singing and playing guitar in a band, sword fighting, bird watching and adventuring with my girlfriend and our dogs.
